Plum Island Today

Fished out of a boat all day and managed between me and my buddy 9 stripers with 1 keeper at 28, 3 white catfish and two eels. Went outside 3 miles to get some macks but it was miserable out there. Nice thing is we found a eel hole where we can stock up for the big fish run in a few weeks!

I got it on clam, only one that made it that day. Everything else was small.

HEY JOSER 06. YOU SAID THAT YOU CAUGHT A COUPLE WHITE CATFISH. HOW BIG DO THEY GET? WHAT DID YOU USE FOR BAIT? I'M INTERESTED TO KNOW BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE TO TARGET THOSE FISH? I'VE CAUGHT SOME BULLHEAD BUT NEVER ANY WHITE OR CHANNEL CATFISH. AND YOU CAUGHT THEM DURING THE DAY?

I caught them all on cut clam by the bridge during the day, right on the bottom. I have caught them in the concord river at dusk using bread ball while carp fishing. I have never seen them over a pound and a half, two pounds.

fished plum on the 20th  had a few bites nothing great. seen a few small fish caught nothing of size. -moose
