Title: eels for trout bait??

Has anybody ever tried eels for bait, when cathcing trout/salmon?? if so did it work?? what kind of trout/char was caught?? how did you fish it??  thanks...   im thinking about using some frozen but thawed eels left over from surf casting, but im ganna use them at the Wachusett any thoughts?? i was thinking of bouncing them offa the bottem with a weedless hook, hooked through the lip.  thx.. moose

Moose-what size are you going to use?? I would bet that slow retrived eels in the 6-8in range would nail those Wachusetts lakers.  YEARS ago there was a french company that had a small jointed EEL lure about 21/2 = 3in lenght, that lure took many trout,Salmon(WINNI),and bass for myself and my father Tried to find that lure a few years back,with no luck. Any trout in the Mill Pond?
