There is something biblical about fishing on good Friday. I have caught very many limits of different species through the years. Always looking to go on this day especially. GOOD LUCK 2 U AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO IS PLANNING ON DIPPING A LINE.

I got over to Missy this evening and tried for crappie. The wind was a real pain, it was constant and pretty cold and had the water nearly whitecapping. It also was muddy. I caught maybe 10 crappie just fishing off cliff walls and letting waves move my jig right next to the wall. About half were kepper size but i was releasing everything today. I also lost a real nice one that may have pushed for my personal best. I may try again Friday unless its windy.

I like being in contact with the flies (I normally fish 2) at all times. My indiactor is bi-colored leader material. I keep an eye on that during the drift. Helps determine if the flies are getting down too. If its moving as fast as the surface current I know my flies arent penetrating. If its moving slower than the surface current I know Im in the zone.
I do use indicators occasionally, when its windy or if I am fishing at a distance. Ive played with the yarn indicators, those were fun. What I got addicted to is fishing dry dropper. Epecially around August/September.

Interesting?? It’s a once in a lifetime! How can a fisherman not appreciate an incredible cosmic event? We live our lives by natural events. Change of seasons, moon phases, weather patterns…….how can we not appreciate this ?
All in all it’s just cool and me and mine will be watching …closely.

i do both ,at times i usee a floating strike indicator at others i don't but in honesty when i don't have a indicator on i'm watching that leader on the drift just like it was ......do i think there is a better way ..... what ever you feel works best ....short line nymphing probablly makes no difference if you can see your leader . if you fishing deep with a sinking tip you better be able to read a hit without one ..... thats all part of the fun
