fireflies

I live 10 miles east of Greybull.  The last two evenings we have seen lightning bugs or fireflies in our front yard.  I moved to Wyoming in 64 and have never seen them here before.  Anyone else see them around the state?

Yes I have too.  I saw some at Guernsey State Park.  They are cool to see.

Enjoy them,  its a big part of our summer....

Growing up in Pa. Lightning bugs were a big part of growing up. I've been in Wyoming for 32 yrs and never saw them here.
How about a Whip-Or-Will raquettedacker? You got them there? We don't have them here either.

13 preference points and still didn't draw a moose tag. Oh well next year. My uncle from Texas Drew an elk tag at least. His first ever elk hunt and he is really excited.

Well the odds showed that it would take about 19 to get most Bull or an any moose tag and me with 7 points and in my 60s I decided to try for the cow.  Lets say that I got 1 with 22 points, that is 15 more years X $7 = $105 + cost od tag in that time??? lets say $150, so that tag would have been over $250. Well worth the money but I can enjoy the trip with family more now.

Congrats olefish I'm still young so I'll just wait for the bull tag. I can't wait for it. The thing I'll have to be waiting for years for is a big horn tag but hats ok.
