Yea, they can and do hybridize in the wild, and hybrids have been found when doing tissue samples of salmon in Europe. and they keep trying to get a sea run brown fishery going in Maine.

Have they ever tried to introduce salter brook trout up there? I know Mass used to have them naturally.

We have natural salters too, but not in big numbers or are just very hard to target due to how much they move.
