Clamming for my first time next week in RI. Looking forward to it!

Love those lobster rolls too! When to Connecticut a few weeks ago and had the "Connecticut" version, think I like those better than the Maine version. Less mayo and darn near a whole lobster. :P

Good for you so yummy!
Living here in Maine I buy a few times a year.

The wife just spent a week in Maine. 3 days on a schooner out of Camden, then to Bar Harbor. I asked her about places to stay and she said many on the coast are booked, so try early.

The wife an I stayed at an Airbnb farther inland a few years ago and went to Bar Harbor for a day. Loved the bus ride up to the top and down. Also the Whale cruise was fun but no whales. Restaurant we ate at was exceptional. There are some interesting freshwater lakes and ponds to fish at there too. Brook trout and Landlocked Salmon.
One of these years hope to rent an Airbnb really close and do some fresh and saltwater fishing.

headed to Cape w wife and daughter before she heads to school Sunday and lucked into a room cancellation Sunday through Friday after looking for a few days with everything booked. Going out on my friends harpoon boat Monday and or Tuesday and I'm sure some bugs will make the ride home. Nice to be asked "how many you want" and just stop at the dock and grab them on the way home. Pics next week if weather and bluefin cooperate. No rod reel fish being bought until September 1 so they extended the harpoon season.

Just got back from a week on Moody beach between Wells and Ogunquit - beautiful beach. REALLY crowded this year everywhere we went.

Spent a few days there last year great place. Caught half a cooler of bay pollack right off that dock in town on a herring rig. Some people were trying to catch mackerel there but it was a little early I guess. Would recommend that place to anybody for a vacation. Small town but a great place to vacation.

I’ve been lucky enough to work up in Bar Harbor for a week every summer in late July, just when the blueberries are ready. This year, the lakes in the park were giving up brookies as well as landlocks all on the same lure I was trollling.
