Well, hard water season was as bad as I can remember. Unstable weather, inopportune snowfall and generally warm winter conditions made a mess of things. Even when we had 'good ice' in Saratoga County, it wasn't really very good. Lots of punky garbage on top almost the entire season. Sad state of affairs. BUT, the boat comes home on April 8th and many of the local waters are clearing. Saratoga Lake is nearly, if not completely, thawed already. I expect to be out earlier this year than many in the past. Looking forward to it!
I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable season on the ice! Be safe if you're still venturing out on the hard water!
