I'm not patient enough to do the boards and really not with weeds. 0 dipsys with 10' 10# fluoro leaders and various sticks is 99% of my trolling. Line counter reels all as close to the same amount of line each so you can repeat the setup is key. Hit a long 30' flat and see how much line you need out at the speed you want to run to bounce bottom then you can adjust when you mark fish to have a better idea of what depth you are running baits.

We use dipseys a lot when we fish Erie, very effective  :thumbup_smilie:

Sometimes when weed clippings are an issue I place an additional clip on the line it helps

A couple from the SLR this morning.

I took that gill cover off. Tomorrow I’ll see if I can figure out how old they are.

Nice catch, reeleyz!

And, I also use the clips when the weeds are bad. Especially on my leadcore down the chute. I just run the OR16's, because I have them, but these look pretty cool.

Thanks guys.

Looks like you’re right Fred. The one fish might be 11 possibly 12.

Here is 1 from each fish.

Seems like 9 and 11.

That’s really cool Bruce. Didn’t you know Fred is like the guy that can guess your age or weight at the fair except for fish lol. Sometimes we throw out a guess on length when we catch an eye before we put a tape on it out on Shane’s boat.
Nice job findin em

Hit the lake with my grandson around 9:30am and had 10 in the box but 11am trolling. All eaters 16-18” fish.
First place we stopped had a huge midge type bug hatch going and was so bad we just couldn’t stay. He kept telling me how many he just ate!
It was swim time after that.
