Equipment choices?
« on: Mar 29, 2010, 02:07 PM »
I like to fish the rivers in the spring for big browns. My choice equipment for the rivers is a 6.6ft light to medium action IM-7 rod, and Diawa reels. Egg sinkers, #8 eagle claw hooks and trilene 4# line.

What do you use for bait? Powerbait or live?

I really don't fish for stocked trout, except when the kids want to go with me. So, I mostly use live bait, crawlers, and minnows. When the rivers go down a bit I will get the flyrods out.
When fishing the stockies I use meal worms.

Yes, I will be out in the river this weekend. It's ripping right now but might be fishable by Saturday. Just add another sinker.
