man those are sweet, I fished the river there last july and caught a mess of em, only one or 2 in our whole group were as colorful as that male u caught, most of them were spawned out. your catching some other sweet fish as well, thats a helluva trip your on, WTG!!

Well, finally got the old thesis written and got back out on the water.  What an incredible day-hardly any wind which was good because we found a school of big (and hungry!) perch and were able to stay on top of them.  Biggest was 12 3/4" and we didn't count how many over 10" that we let go but I'm pretty sure one of us could have limited out (limit is 50)  We ended up keeping 15.  Awesome day.

Thanks Deposit-the fillets that come off these guys are incredible.  They are currently gorging themselves on crayfish and minnows.  Alot of times as they come up or when you grab them all of a sudden they have a mouthfull of former stomach contents!
