The walleyes can be very elusive at times, they don't call it the Dead Sea for nothing.

Greensider, I hear you but these guys aren't half as bad as the "normal" weekend boaters.

iceman, you should see the lake right now, 2 1/2 footers out of the South at the Northville bridge. No one at the launch...Good Luck...h2l

Hey guys, was going tomorrow but ran into some snags. Friday looks like a definite.  Think I have asked before, but how is the area around Beacon Island? Coming from Albany it cuts several miles off of my trip.

I haven't fished the "Dead Sea" in 25 yrs for a reason, but back then I would fish the Beacon area heavily this time of year. As soon as the water warms or they start dropping it you may as well head out deeper and perhaps north a few miles.

Not heading out today because of rain and wind, going to try Thursday instead. Petercos that area can be very good at times.

Skipped today my cousin couldn't go and it's very windy today, lake is probably pretty rough.

Same here guys. 3 weeks in a row we couldn't go up due to crappy weather. So far it looks good for next weekend. Going to take a battery and trolling motor to try some down rigging.......... I presume the wally's are still suspended.

Checked out the weigh-in yesterday. Walleye 22", Bass just under 21" and there were 3 trout entered, biggest 13". There were a lot of 16/17 inch walleyes brought in while I was there and most were caught trolling. Water temp was between 67 and 70 degrees....h2l

Fished between broadalbin launch, lanzis, up to the point, and up past northville bridge. Water was constant 66 from 15-45fow.  4 eyes some jumbo perch n bass. Fishing was very slow. Hatch was everywhere 15-20’ down
