Nice mess!   artificial or minnows?  Lake or pond?   shallow water?

Bowman Lake is like a big pond. The crappies were shallow in like 5 foot of water. The crappies were caught with an ice fishing jig (purple and green) and small piece of redworm below a bobber set at about 2 feet. I went back out there today and only caught one so they must move around at that lake or something. Maybe I will have to get some minnows too.

What about this one I recently mounted for a customer? Color was flashed out by the flash. Check out the total length of this fish!

Yes, Indiana fish but I'm not at liberty to say where it was caught. The angler wouldn't tell me but I know were it was caught. He would probably be furious if I told. Sorry!

It's the biggest I've ever seen or mounted too.  Weighed only 3 1/4 lbs. though.  Seems like it should have weighed more.

Taxi,

As always good details on the painting, you should consider teaching some of the other taxidermists out there how to paint.

Thanks for the kind words. I used to teach taxidermy but have stopped for now. It put me behind in my work.
