Well, that felt good
« on: Mar 28, 2020, 05:00 PM »
I've been in a bad mood lately due to this ridiculous corona-virus overkill, and consequently inclined to d**n the nitwits involved with it,  so I decided to focus on two dams (sorry, I couldn't resist the pun) when I got out on the South Hoosic in Cheshire for an hour this afternoon.

Fortunately, my gambit paid off.

When I fished below the Cheshire Lake dam, I caught a 10" brown - - my first fish on a spinning rod since November.  Man, that felt good.

I wasn't as successful below the Cheshire Harbor dam - - no hits, no errors and no action - - but that's OK, catching one fish was enough for today.

And so it begins nice start.
I fish for those "stupid fish" BASS. Largemouth Smallmouth Stripers, and even Rock bass.

Hey Jim I share your sentiments on the virus.  I got out yesterday as well.  I fished the pool on the farmington where you caught that rainbow last year and got skunked.  I probably changed flies 4 dozen times.
