Title: Wyoming spring cat HELP?

was taught to fish for cats in the bighorn river WY.  Need some tips on fishing from banks on a reservoir called Glendo in WY. Taking my son so would love for him to pull one in.  Ice just coming off, any help on bait or what to look for would be great.

catch a carp cut it up and use it as bait easiest way......when are you going
