Pretty slow out there today. Water temp 64* out in the lake. Got pretty windy after 1pm. Got 3 walleyes. Wife wanted one so I kept one, the biggest one 22 inches. That's the biggest I have caught in 3/4 years. All were caught in about 18 fow and I was moving pretty fast for jig fishing.

The "high performance" boats are here for the weekend. Racing up and down the lake, making lots of noise...h2l

Walleye bite has been hard to find. Fished Day area Saturday afternoon. one short one keeper. Fished shallow and deep. They aren’t where they should be for early June.

Fished main lake Sunday on waypoints from previous years. No luck. One short in 19 FOW. Tried new areas shallow and deeper with slipbobber, jig, bouncers, and cranks. I gave up and called it a weekend. Minnows, crawlers, and leeches ..... nada.

Would like to know if others are seeing the same.

Jpb, it has been slow that is for sure. Lake is high and the temp hasn't warmed up much. Last season my "go to spots" didn't produce many fish at all. Had to find new spots. This year I have had to work for the fish I have caught. Heading out in a little while and will report this afternoon...h2l

Gotta agree man, last two trips out I got a skunking or nearly one. As H2L said, must be water temp and level. Hopefully in a few weeks things will be back to normal but I may still need to explore a bit.

Good luck!

Found some fish today. 13 walleye, biggest just over 18". Eight were keepers, didn't keep any. Water temp 65 degrees. Caught fish in 12 to 37 fow. All tight to bottom and still hitting light. Starting to see some bait balls...h2l

Nice job hunts2long.  I was out there also.  Beautiful sunny calm day yesterday and they were biting pretty good.  I launched out of Broadalbin and fished from about 10 to 3 and got 4 keepers and some shorts and hooked and dropped a handful of others.  Caught some jigging bucktails at first and then trolling sticks anywhere from 30 to 36ft.  Talked to 2 guys leaving and they got their 2 man limit of 10 pulling spinners.  It will only get better over the next month until the usual bloodbath in August and September when they set up in deeper water and get pretty easy to find.
