What is the best bait catching your own minnoes\crefish?

Im just wondering, because I have a trap, but dont know what to put in it, I have used bread balls, but that never seems to work..

I use dogfood for my minnow trap... Works good

Hard dog food, or soft canned?

I like hard dog food, crackers, and some others I don't remember.

i either use hard dog food because it doesnt disinigrate fast and keeps the minnows coming for a while or puncture a tuna can and put it in the trap

fish flavored canned cat food works great for crayfish and minnorws for me.  just punch holes in the can.

I just use chunks of white bread, or even white styrofoam. All you need is the colour to attract the baitfish

I read in a maginzine that you put sticks of bubble gum in the trap. I never tried it but they said it works really good.

Pretty much anything. I've found that leftover steak works well.
