Hoosier National Forest is a lot larger than you think. Covers much of the central part of southern Indiana from Monroe Reservoir to the Ohio River. Stop in the office in Bedford and ask about maps or locations of lakes/ponds. I have heard of people who fish some of the smaller waters and doing quite well (hint . . . hint).

Yes Patoka is part of the forest and it has some GREAT crappie fishing if you time it right. Crappie USA hold 2 tourney's their a year. We went a couple of times and always caught plenty of fish.
