Black Lake Weekend
« on: May 04, 2005, 09:28 AM »
Hello everybody. I was a frequent user of iceshanty.com and this is my first time on myfishfinder. I am hoping to have the same success and will post any info I obtain as well.
We're heading up to Black Lake the weekend of May 7th to interrogate some fish. Has anyone tossed a line in around that area lately?  Any info on the crappie & pike fishing would be greatly appreciated.
Tight lines to all!!

My wife's family has a place on lake with a few miles of Black, and we went up two weeks ago.  I saw pike in less than 2 feet of water, but am unsure if they were pre- or post-spawn fish.  Either way, we'll be back up again this weekend looking for snotrockets.

Black Lake is a great fishery! When I was a kid my best friend's parents owned three islands there. I spent entire summers there. They have since sold them for a profit.
I go at least once every summer for bass, pike, and crappie.
As mentioned, concentrate on the bays.

You might want to check the thread under NY Lakes.  ;)
