You just described all of the freshwater striper anglers you see on TV. Calling a 35in fish 30lbs lol

Hahahah!

OK - no word of a Lie i had this happen to me last night.

Shooting some pool and talking fishing and some guy butts in and just asks for me to take him fishing, that he loves fishing and does it often from shore. Long story short, few minutes go by and he shows me a picture of a striped bass and tells me its like 47-48" and 42lbs. I felt terrible but i could'nt hold it in and just laughed and told him he is almost 25lbs off! That fish was no more than 39"and 20lbs wet. A good fish, but I told him he picked the wrong dude to tell a fish story to. LMAO!  Best part is apparently his wife is the bartender and she just laughed, looked at him and told him he got his measurements off. LOL!

I then followed up with this Pic and told him this is what a 40lb class Striped Bass looks like. To my surprise he said "wow". Man did we have a good laugh afterwords!
