Critters
« on: May 30, 2018, 04:14 PM »
Been trapping woodchucks in my yard.
Stupid family of them living in a huge hole under my shed.
Just took #3 over to a local field near the creek and let it go.
One adult and 2 pups.
Reset the trap and saw another pup looking out at me.

I'll get them.

Take an old towel drench it with amoina shove it down the hole and fill in...  It wont kill them but   they wont come back...
Works for skunks also....... ;)

Or you could always through them in the crockpot and make pulled chuck sandwiches with them......  ;D

Don't take them to a farmer's field. They don't want them either!
One more with the one we're after and we'll have two.

What are you using for bait Mac?

I just finished relocating a family of red squirrels . All 5 of them went to a local park. Now I feel I can just get that chipmunk...... :-\

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

the ammoina  trick is the easiest way ,they pack up and leave on their own ,if it wasn't under your shed I would suggest grapping a road kill possum and shoving that down the hole ....same effect as the ammonia

Do you have a trapping license and is it legal if not maybe you should not post it just saying personally i use a crossbow no relocation needed

I don't think you need a trapping license to  live trap a  woodchuck under your shed   plus  you really don't want to shoot chucks  this time of the year they have  babies ..... good luck mac .....if all else fails  just name them

hardtop get a woodchuck to go threw a body gripping trap  not to mention if you set a  foothold or bodygribbing trap you do need a licence and  bodygrips  now can not be exposed they need to be underwater or in a bucket or box ...... I don't think mac wants to kill baby woodchucks anyway   ...mac  toss the ammonia rag down the hole :thumbup_smilie:
