Recent Trip in Western Maine
« on: Jun 15, 2018, 09:30 PM »
Landed a ton of Salmon last weekend on one of those lakes with a special Salmon rule for small Salmon.  There were 4 of us fishing from 2 boats.  I would say how many salmon we boated, but folks would not believe me, so I will just say we had a solid 4 day weekend.  Fished Smelts the fist day, till they got mushy, then lures after that 1 to 3 colors down.  Top water temp was 61.  The wind kept us off the lake each afternoon, but morning and a couple of evenings were key.  Fish on!

Way to go! Help thin out those numbers. I bet those little ones cook up really nice. If I could take a weekend away from home I would make the trip out to one of those lakes too.

Good job culling some of the smaller ones. That is a great looking fire pit meal. I had fun up that way on may 12 th. They still are fiesty. I didn’t relize I had one on a down rigger rod until it launched out of the water .

Nice cook out, best part of camping.
At the mouth of the river at Sebago in the Spring, it's East to West unless you want a beating from the rest! ;D ;D
