Nice Day on the North Branch
« on: Jun 16, 2018, 06:08 PM »
I fished the North Hoosic in North Adams from 1:45 to 4 PM this afternoon.

Sunny, blue skies with puffy white clouds and 82 degrees. Water levels a bit low, but not too bad.

I started just below the entrance to the Natural Marble Bridge State Park. Nothing,

Drove downstream to the roll dam, and fished there. Nada.

I fished downstream and caught a 17" rainbow just below an American flag hanging off a tree limb over a cliff. (Would have made a great visual if I brought a camera).

Kept going downstream and worked around the Eclipse Mill dam.

I hooked and lost a 10" - 12" rainbow just below the dam and waded a little further downstream, where I landed a 14" rainbow.

On my way back to the dam, I reeled in an 8" brown and then worked back up above the dam.

As I waded back to my car, I caught one last 12" rainbow near the cliff where I caught my first fish of the day.
