Quick Trip..Good Results!
« on: Jul 29, 2018, 11:32 AM »
Hit the Q this morning for a quick trip. Have family plans this afternoon so i had to be off the water by 11.

Hit the water at 6:10 and was at the dock at 11. I managed 2 salmon but dropped one and a rainbow. The salmon was 4lbs.

Did you eat the salmon will or did the eagle eat well?

I tried to revive it for 15 minutes but she didnt make it. The two boatside runs did her in. Was the first one of the year i took home.

The rainbow swam off slow but made it before the eagles got there.

Tough time of year for any hopes of catch and release on salmonoids. Left three lake trout floaters for the eagles at Wachusett recently - they just can’t be revived in the warm water.
