They didn't want the frog

Went to a couple of different ponds the other day to try and get a fish on the frog, i haven't got one yet this year so I'm getting the itch. finally got sick of all the snubs and short strikes at the third pond and threw on a zoom trick worm in a custom color i make by bleeding together junebug and watermelon worms, I immediately got a couple fish but they were all dinks so I headed to another pond. at the last pond I promptly chucked my worm into a tree and broke it off so I decided it was time to try something else, ended up chucking a white chatterbait for a half an hour or so until the bugs drove me out.

Had a few ponds I would fish growing up, sure so miss them. Always had fun with worms and top water baits. Thanks for sharing!

Try a floating plastic worm on a light wire weedless hook.  I think you'll get hits on that when they don't want the frog.
