My first shotgun was a 12ga Stevens single shot. It was a gift from my grandfather and he called it his barn gun. Later that year he bought me a new Sears catalog gun (also a Stevens 12ga) for my 13th birthday.
No idea how many birds, rabbits and squirrels i got with that gun.

Always wanted an Ithaca 37. When they reorganized, I bought a Mag 87. Anybody else have one?
I have a friend that I have hunted with for over 50 years that has a Remington 20 gauge. It was the shotgun that the Ithaca 37 was modeled after. He shot many deer at 100yds with that shotgun.

I had an 1100 Rem auto. It was a 3 shot duck gun.  The day I got it me and a buddy shot a couple boxes of shells out of each and boy our shoulders were sore.. 8)

The Rem 1100 is a real nice gun. One of my friends has one and its real solid.
He has a 10g goose gun. I shot that a couple of times and that gun was rhude - shoulder buster

Deerslayer 12 gauge was my first weapon. Only hunted archery for years, then one year I missed a nice 8 pointer, about 30 yards. Went right to Dick’s and got the Model 37.

My father has a Browning Sweet 16. Don’t know much about when he acquired it, but it’s older than me. That is indeed. “Sweet” weapon.

My first gun was a Mossberg 500. That gun killed a lot of Deer, Grouse, and Bunnies over the years. Still have it, just never seem to use it anymore.

Bought my son a 20 gauge Ithaca feather weight when he started to hunt, later on got him a 12 gauge deer slayer, he is left handed and it was easy to change the safety to left hand. That was 34 years ago, he still has both guns today.

Great memory for sure his first seeing a bear in the woods we were both happy to see it.we watched it for 45 minutes.it was 20 yards from me and about 35 yards from little guy.not allowed to shoot them in there only deer.

Some AH killed the bear at Montezuma! at least they caught him but come on man!

That sucks for that bear. In a no-kill bear zone.🤦🏻🤬
