Fishing Apps
« on: Apr 08, 2012, 12:35 AM »
I guess this subject is in the right place. ;)

Anyway, with today's technology and smart phones. What apps are people using on their phones to help their fishing. After finally upgrading to a phone that does everything but bait the hook, I would like to use it to help my fishing.

thanks

The Navionics ap turns your phone into a contour mapping GPS for $10. That's about the best deal going right now. Just be careful, smart phones are not waterproof or rugged like your average handheld GPS.

Weather aps like Weather Channel, Weather Bug, and Weather Underground are great for keeping an eye on the conditions.

The camera is great for text-bragging fish to your friends who choose to stay home on the couch.

there is a app called knot wars.  it shows you how to tie many different knots.  I have also used Navionics mobile app for 2 years now out ice fishing.

I sent an email out to Navionics and unfortunately it only handles the marine areas around here and not the inland lakes that I fish.

Any other aps I should be looking at?
