Tiger trout (a little pic heavy)
« on: Aug 24, 2012, 08:51 AM »
I have this thread on I.S. so i thought i would post it up here also. After looking thru pics for the contest on I.S. i just had to post a few more up. These fish are just a thing of beauty. Some of you will notice they do go thru a false spawn and get the brown orange going on the belly, just wish i could hit them at that time every fall. Im going to apologize now for hiding the backgrounds, but the waters that hold these in utah get enough pressure as it is and some people will take everyone they catch when there is plenty of eater rainbows to be had.

and of course i saved the biggest for last, this fish measured in at 27in.

all were released succesfully

Nice Looking Tigers Musky!  ;)

We have 2 ponds here in NH that hold tiger trout, but they typically only range from 8-12" with an occasional 16"+
They sure are some Great looking fish! Thanks for sharing the pics  :)

Very nice looking tiger trout photos, they are quite a colorful fish indeed.
Good luck with them this season. 8)

I caught my first 2 tiger trout last season, they are quite the fighters.

I hope to be able to go for them again sometime and we have a few lakes were that is possible.

Thanks, yes they are good fighters and they do like the pursuit. We have more chasers than hook-ups regularly

Thanks guys. 3 trips in the last 2 weeks and I've only had 1 that wanted to play 18in, we have had a couple dozen chases and 5 bows and 1 cut. Hopefully we get some with color next sunday
