walleye spawning run
« on: Apr 09, 2004, 05:00 PM »
seen thousands of big walleye heading up conesus lake inlet for their anual spawning run.seen many fish over 10lbs with a few that were over 13lbs.
once the season opens these fish are seldom seen and rarely caught due to the abundant baitfish population.

we even rescued a stranded walleye

released unharmed to continue its journey upstream

we were careful not to disturb the stream bed while saving the fish

That's wild. Saw the pike pics too.  Hope this little stream is well patrolled cause it looks like a fish market for those on the dark side of the law.

Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more important than that!

I live with FEAR everyday, and sometimes she lets me go fishing!

Totally awesome. What is the water temp there now. I was out Monday and the temp was 46 degrees. That would be a sight. Thanks for sharing. B
