Ossipee Launch?
« on: Jul 16, 2010, 06:15 AM »
I would like to try Ossipee sometime this summer but the last time I was there about 8 or 9 years ago I think there was a bridge you had to go under to get to the main lake. I have a boat w/ a hardtop so I don't think I can use that launch. Is there another launch on the lake?

thanks

drive further down rt 25 and take the left before the gas station on long sands rd and follow it to the end. there will be 2 ramps a pay for one on the left and a free one on the right. there's a current there so be carefull. good luck

YAY!! Going to get some fishing in for the first time since ice out!!

Heading to Ossipee for a week this Saturday and bringing the boat.
Staying on the main lake.
Never fished anywhere on the lake before.  Hope to target some bass each morning before the rest of the family gets going for the day.

Any pointers on where my best bet is to find some bass? ???

Thx!

isolated weeds by the marker bouys that seperate the two bays. I know its vague but we got into them there a few weeks ago on topwaters in the am and plastics later on.

yes. that is a good spot. i also like boat docks and points in the main lakes. don't overlook the monster white perch that are in there. worm on eagle claw hooks with a copper spinner and lead free split shot attached or a small kastmaster or spoon when the action gets hot off the shallow point drop offs right before dark.
