Pleasant Lake (Deerfield) launch
« on: Sep 10, 2020, 10:40 AM »
Has anyone used this recently?  Wondering if water levels are sufficient to launch a trailered boat.

I have not but even when the levels are up I always get wet launching and landing the boat there.

If it’s anything like the surrounding lakes and ponds it’s gonna be really low.

I drive by that launch often.

Every time I do so in daylight I see trailers in the parking lot.

To help launch and retrieve in shallow water I use 22" Walmart rubber boots.

The guide poles on my trailer and a long bow line help too.

Thanks guys.  I have guide ons and a long bow line.

I don't mind getting wet putting the boat back on the trailer, I change into shorts and Tevas to make it easier.  (Waders when it's too cold.)

I was at pleasant last week, no problems launching as long as you dont have a  "battleship" They are right, long line and rubber boots are my goto..

Ramp ended up being fine form my small Lund.  No trout though, only a couple small bass trolling over the deeper section.  Later, Clough Pond (more challenging ramp there) gave up two small rainbows that went back in.  Yesterday at Bow yielded only more small smallmouths.  Bigger trout have eluded me this year!
