Title: Follow up on tackle storage 5 essentials
Post by: rivereddy on Jul 30, 2019, 08:47 AM: The thread on tackle storage got me to thinking about what others regard as "Must Haves". This has been covered before, but it fits with the former thread... In all of my kits I have at least one of the following:

Some kind of Spook or prop bait
2-3 inch twist or paddle tail soft plastic 1/16 - 1/4 oz leadhead
1/4 oz spinnerbait
suspending hard bait - flicker shad
Weedless spoon - Johnson silver minnow
some type of worm that can be Carolina or wacky rigged.

What's in your "go to" box?

Yeah, exactly, that's what I am driving at with my other thread. For me it's been either coldwater trolling, or bass fishing and there really isn't one, single piece of tackle that crosses over between those two. Not even the line/leader material, really. And now that I am throwing the saltwater into the mix... yikes. I just don't know how to compartmentalize. I'd have to say the only things that are 5 essentials aren't even tackle:

1. Boga grip
2. Rapala belt clip holster with needlenose pliers, forceps and braided line scissors
3. Leatherman Charge Ti that I can fix the space shuttle with
4. Nitecore HC65 rechargable 1000 lumen headlamp
5. Recharge kit for my auto PFD
