I wish they had an X-ray app for my phone.  There’s a few tournaments I would use it on when I help with weight ins..😎😎

MAYBE its not the anglers fault at all!!!
The fish probably self identified as a state record and the angler was just trying to recognize him that way ::)  ::)

Unfortunate that we even have to think that way. If I caught someone cheating in our events… send bail money!!! No need to cheat!!! End of story!!

A good metal detector would work… I guess.

I know what you’re saying. Wonder how many records have been broken since everyone became aware of it..
That’s the only good thing that came out of the walleyes guys getting caught.😎✌️✌️✌️

Definitely makes you wonder how many times this has happened in the past and people got away with it. Ever drag a fish behind a boat on a stringer? I have left mine out of the boat when moving and the fish will fill their guts with water. Or what about ice cubes?

As a taxidermist I took in a bass to mount that had a really chewed up caudal fin. Wasn't sure why. Happened to mention it to a friend and a guy I went to high school with that manages local bass tournaments. He perked up and immediately asked who the angler was. Turns out it's a guy he caught catching fish before the tournament, and holding them in sunken wire cages until the tournament. Said the chewed up tails were from beating against the cage wire.

This is why so many tournaments have switched over to the fish donkey platform and go by length only. Have to submit 4 photos or video of angler with fish, over all length of fish on sanctioned bump board, and separate pic of head and tail on bump board.
To make small fortune in business, start with a large one.

Tournament fishing is like measuring units...worthless pee contests.  I could care less.  Apparently stuffing is prevelant...betcha in more than the fish hahaha.
