3/19/06- Got out today for some rainbows and got 5 all together. All nice fat stockies.

3/20/06- Got out again today after school for a couple hours and got 3 stockies again. Only got a pic of one of them before the camera died.

Getting an early start, eh bbr?  Looks like it's a good one!  Keep 'er up.  Now that I got a digital I'll have to post all my summer pics on here.

Got out again today and tried a new place. The wind wasnt as bad as yestarday but was still blowing pretty good. We caught 10 bass total with 3 on jigs, 4 on a Husky Jerk, and 3 on a Senko. All fish were caught up tight on weedy banks and around standing timber. The biggest of the day weighed in on the Rapala scale was 5lbs even.

After I hooked into my first bass of the year I gave up on the trout(for now), soooo nice to be bass fishing again ;D

Got out again today after school and tried yet again another new pond. We got a total of 8 bass here all tight to the bank on a mix of the pin minnow, husky jerk, and the best producer, the jig and pig. Biggest fish was just shy of 3 lbs but it was ano overall productive day considering the wind/rain/cold we dealt with. We then went to another pond down the street where we ice fish alot and caught 2 more bass and a 13" perch all on pin minnows and husky jerks.

The boat needs a good scrubbing though. I like using it for the small ponds, it is very light and manuverable. ;D

It does have a motor, that was before we had to haul it up a hill lol. We only use the trolling motor for now, the gas one needs a new carb, its not that fast anyway

Got out today at around 11ish and caught 12 bass with the biggest being my biggest of the year, 6lbs 2oz, and another one 4lbs even. We got a bunch of other 2lbers with one that went 3lbs. Fishing was slow most of the day and the big ones came on the Minus 1's (thx to whoever I saw using them in their report) and a few others on the jig, husky jerk, and senkos. The fish were not as close to the shore as last week and most of them were caught in 3-4fow. We also got 4 pickeral and 4 perch too.

NICE fish!  Who's pulling on the tail in the scale pic??? LOL.  No really nice fish.  Did they finally do away with the season for bass?  I thought they were closed until 3rd Sat. in Jun?

I never heard of a closed bass season in MA. This is the best time of the year to get them, go get em' ;D

Got out today in seach of carp and my brother got a nice 14lber that fought for over 10 min using light tackle. Was an awesome sight and we will definatly be going for them again.

that is a beauty of a carp, they are h#ll of a fighter.
I use corn and/or Wheaties and even made my own doughballs before.  ;) WTG

 :flex: 6or8 # test, they would run all the way across that river there and even go up above behind you and back around the otherside on ya. It was an awesome experience as a younger  ;) man.  ;D

Nice fish bro. I love bass fishing in the spring. That 6lb bad boy tops my best for the spring, but I've had days were I've caught 50 fish, so I guess that almost makes it even. 

Nice fish, ignore these guys who can't appreciate spring bass fishing....

That was only our second time ever so we are still learning but all we mdo is chum a bunch of corn and put like 3 kernals on the hook and cast into the chummed area. Works good enough for us!

There are alot of trout guys on here but nothing beats bass fishing IMO. ;D

Gotcha, where I am fishing them it's a swift river so chumming corn would probably be a big waste of money. lol I tried corn on the hook and it just didn't work. Probably would if I chummed though. Thanks

OH yeah, I know there is an entire thread dedicated to their dislike of bass. I laugh.

Pikeguy, if your fishing in a current situation, I've found that the best bait is a single nightcrawler hooked once right in the nose. A small egg singer 2 feet up the line. I used corn, carp bait, dough balls, the works....nothing worked better than crawlers.

Got out tonight for a little over an hour on the Charles for some White Cats after seeing some reports of them and we surprisingly caught some. We got 2 cats and about 6 eels. One of the cats was tiny but the other was a fatty but we didnt weigh them b/c we forgot the scale :angry:
