Got 7 fish between us 2 36", 1 34", 1 30" 1 28", and 2 shorties. They were all great fighters.

All the fish were caught from shore using live herring. The herring run is almost over in the river so we will only have a week or so of good fishing left.

Great fish. There is a reservoir about 3 hours from me where I can go and catch hundreds of 20 inchers but nothing that even comes close to 30" let alone 36" :o

Nice rock fish you got there. those pic,s have me pumped now. I have less than 3 weeks till I go on a 10 day striper fishing trip.

Yea they are an awesome fight i cant wait to go back up there wednesday and wack a couple more....I hope :laugh:

Yea we kept them and they are one of the best tasteing fish IMOP.

Yes it is a coastal river in NH, well it 4 miles from the ocean and the herring run up the river to spawn and the striper come and feed on them. Yes we do catch the live herring and use them, as soon as they hit the water its almost a gaurenteed fish on. They are one of the best fighting fish especially on the light tackle we use for them, it'll take u 5 mins to reel them in! Heading back tommorrow looking to get some more, hopefully the herring are still around and not done for the season :'(. Ill post more pics if we get any!
