I was about to start a thread about this also, but since SB started one, I will just add the link I was going to add:

Oh Lord - there he is, it feels like a big one, please don\'t let me lose him, I\'ve never caught one this big before.  I\'ll try not to horse him, and if I land him, I promise to release him, and make a graphite replica, if my wife says it\'s ok.  Thank you for the Rapalas...

What about those guys that engage in "noodling" I think it's called where they literally catch them with their hands. Imagine grabbing ahold of that beast!

Chasing them pigs with fins!

AK isn't coming soon enough....can't wait to fight with 1 grizzly for 100,000 fish instead of 1,000 snaggers for 10.

Those catfish are known as Pla Buek. They are primarly plankton feeders and they feed much like whales. They might be the largest catfish and freshwater fish in the world, but the Wels Catfish of Eurasia and the Piraibi Catfish of the Amazon basin may be bigger.
These are strange looking cats in that they don't have long whiskers, and in fact have only tiny barbels under their chins. That they eat plankton and aren't predators make it even more amazing.
Sadly this big cat is either endangered or threatened in some regions of Southeast Asia. However in parts of the Mekong, Salween, and Irrawaddy Rivers, they are actually fairly abundant.

lol they are always thinking over there its funny there first thought was to sell it to someone who wanted to set it free then when it died they chopped it up and sold it to villagers for food i wonder what a fish that big and old tasted like  also i wanna see how big the net was to haul that thing in :o
