Anybody fish this lake in Algonquin Park .
It'll always be Butt lake to me and before my time , Ralph himself told me it was called Eagle Lake . At the time he always told me he would prefer it going back to it's old name which was Eagle .
Strange how now it's been named after him but this Order of Canada recipient is just deserving to have his favourite lake named after himself .
At the time he received the Order of Canada he would only accept it under the condition that his occupation would be listed as a trapper .
So if you have fished this lake on the west side of the park just outside of Kearney post on it .
