Walleye on the fly..
« on: May 02, 2006, 08:18 AM »
I get the strangetst looks from guys and even have some tell me "you know there are no trout in here" I usually just blow them off with "yeah I know" Any whew I will make this short winded. I go out every year on streams and lakes that hold Walleye and have found that they don't act all that different from Brown Trout. I have found Walleye can be pretty eager to take a wooly bugger and of course the obvious, streamers. Anyone else target eyes on the fly?

in manitoba I caught lots of walleye and pike on the fly, some on dries too!  I must note they hit anything I threw at them, flies or regular gear. It was FUUUUN ;D
