Where to fish in Iowa city
« on: Jul 14, 2009, 08:27 PM »
I have a buddy coming to Iowa in a couple weeks, he is looking for a charter or a good place to fish in Iowa city to shore fish, can anyone give me some ideas? We both live in Indiana but I figured I would try here for some suggestions, thanks

Coralville Reservoir: 4 miles north of Iowa City - 5,340 acres
Kent Park Lake: 2 1/2 miles west of Tiffin - 27 acres
Lake Macbride: 4 miles west of Solon - 940 acres

I've fished coralville and kent park. I ice fished Kent park. It is full of panfish and perch and is like fishing a farm pond.

The res is a huge place to fish. Best bet is to go to the closest bait shop to the res and ask the workers where to fish. They will give you loads of information.
