There really hasn't been any good reports lately. How is anyone doing fishing-wise? I have been doing pretty well. Caught a lot of catfish here lately! Biggest was a 10 pounder! channel.
Fishing is the sport of drowning worms.

I have been catching a lot of channels on the mississippi around the Quad Cities, but I havent been getting into anything else.  Anyone been doing any good on bass or walleyes in the area?

Uh huh, but as always you have to PM me for info. I'm not up for posting my spots on a public forum, too many anglers and not enough area. However, I will gladly give my info to anyone who PM's me.

Haven't been on the rivers in my area, Cedar, Iowa, Miss due to flooding.  Ramps are under or closed.  Have had decent luck at Odessa with cheese and Sonny's super sticky on cats.  All the rain has raised the level into the grass and some timber areas.  Liver or shrimp aren't effective right now.  Cats are ranging 2-5 #.  Went for three hours Wednesday and kept 6 in that range.  Good luck!

I hit the miss for cats friday afternoon with a buddy. Put in at pool 15 and fished stinkbait over by the arsenal, we had 8 good ones (16-20") in 2 hours.

  • A day of bad fishing is still a good day.

Crappies have slowed down quite a bit, but the perch seem to be picking up.
