Good Morning in the woods
« on: Apr 26, 2010, 07:45 AM »
Got out to the farm around 4 am and sat on the edge of the hay field waiting for the turkeys to fly down. When I went yesterday they flew down around 5:20 but with the clouds today they flew down around 5:30 and that is when I bagged my Tom Got him at 5:33am.

He went 23.5lbs 9inch beard and 1 inch spurs. Not a bad day in the woods was out of the woods by 5:45 and checked hi in and went home to sleep alittle before I got to head back to JWU. Hopefully Ill be able to fill out my last tag Friday.

Congratulations JDip. Terrific bird!

I was up that early, too, but it was because I had cramps in my legs.

Turkeys are made of delicious meat!  Good job, man!

You planning on tying any flies with the feathers?
