My girlfriend and I made it out on Sunday and it was a beautiful day out there. This is my first fish of the season, trolling from the Yak. This little 18 incher was caught within 3 minutes of hitting the water.

This one was about 24" and was caught a couple of minutes later.

This was my girlfriend's first fish of the year, and it was a fat 16-17inch bass.

Good to see some nice fish being cuaght. I have been searching for the perch and crappies but little slower this year. The water temps are still to cold, but with 60s the next couple days it should start heating the bite up i hope.

Looks like the perch are starting to bite. I cuaght a few my self today.It was hard fishing they were hitting very light. I kept 5, 2 nice one and 3 more to make a small meal for my self. threw back 5 as well one real big 15incher. Thought she was better of spawning and make more for next year.

Nice suprise with the pike. This is a great time of year to get a mixed bag fishing small lures and jigs. The best part about it is most of it can be from shore.
