If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

 I’ve seen many mishaps but never a vehicle in the drink , and I’ve made a spectacle of myself a couple times lol

Me too - but that particular time, for whatever reason, I didn't attach it.
Pulling the boat out the winch strap broke.
Luckily, the trailer and boat were still a bit in the water and the boat simply slid backwards off the trailer and back into the water without any damage.
  Was that with that gorgeous  Lund ?

Saw it at sturgeon years ago. Small truck heavy boat, slippery launch took it right in.  Was gonna pull him out but someone else jumped in just needed my tow strap.
Had a close call once but was able to jump in the truck to stop it.
Bad day.
