Rowe Ford --- Warning
« on: Dec 12, 2018, 10:16 AM »
3 months ago I bought a new 2018 f150, they gave me a good price. But their service or should I say lack of is the cause for this warning.  I have called the past 3 days and got to the service department voice mail and left a message to call back.  No one has called.  Yesterday I even called the service manager and he hasn't called me.  So when you need service you can't even make an appointment?  This is the first and last vehicle I will buy from Rowe.  How do they stay in business?

What I need the service department for is to see if I can get some presets changed on the remote starter that came with the truck.  Nothing wrong with the truck, I really like it.  I previously owned a tundra loved the truck but the gas mileage was killing me. hauling my boat to Rangeley and back with my tundra was 1 and 1/2 tank of gas my ford is 3/4 of a tank and it wasn't even broken in yet. Berlin city Toyota service department is super, my wife's RAV4 and my sons corolla from there.  If Toyota would just work on their gas mileage for their trucks.

I had major problems with tthem 20 years ago.
And their spokesman uses his father's service record to promote sales

I WISH!!! I have 3/4 of a million miles on 3 Toyota Tacomas, but needed a full size and the motor on the Tundra is just plain stupid. I am not paying 50k for a truck that gets 16's on the highway. Ended up getting a GMC Sierra because I have to tow a big enclosed snowmobile trailer and a 5000lb boat and the Tacoma just doesn't cut it. Toyota needs to make something that tows and I don't need to tow the space shuttle thank you... My GMC with 5.3L V8 gets 23 highway and 14 towing my snowmobile trailer or the boat. WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK TO TOYOTA but my 100 mile a day highway commute is not conducive to a Tundra until they make the powerplant more reasonable.

I think he’s implying compared to mpgs on the other brand full size trucks, the tundra is significantly worse. Biggest reason I don’t own one as I would love that level of realibility.
At the mouth of the river at Sebago in the Spring, it's East to West unless you want a beating from the rest! ;D ;D

Probably an unfair choice of words, but I would like to see Toyota put a more fuel efficient motor in their full size offering.

Right. My Sierra gets 22-23 mpg on the highway, but I doubt I will want to own it much past 120k miles. My buddy with an '18 Tundra gets around 17 best.
