Very cool..   Are they good to eat??    I have snagged a salmon before and I couldn't imagine snagging one of those and trying to land it....

Congrats on the nice Paddles, those are Cockers !! What is the flavor like, do you fillet them or steak them like a Swordfish ??

ya their good to eat and they can fight hard, i clean them like swords not bad for a Montana fish

Its not to hard, we use a tail-er and  try to use two guys on the big ones.

Some things are not meant to be eaten. Walleyes are for eating - paddlefish are for cathing.
Bet they all went to landfill !

those are some BIG and UGLY fish!  I've never seen a paddlefish before, bet that was a funfight though! congrats on some BIG fish :o

You should do your research first, before posting a moronic comment. Paddlefish are a prized fish for their caviar and great eating. I love the taste of paddlefish. They are awesome to eat. Don't knock it until you try it. Fried up, they'd compete against a walleye for its taste. Grilled up, any tuna steak lover would drool over a paddlefish steak. You really are missing out if you have never had spoonbill before.


YA no kidding, WE make caviar with ours and boil the meat,  ;D eats better then lobster   ::) ::) ::)
