Yes, I was pleased overall - - The action was much better than the last time I fished the same stretch.

However, I was puzzled that I didn't get any hits either where South Brook flows into the river or beneath the undercut bank just downstream from it.

Screw the mainstream media.  Caught a few incidentally north of the oxbow fishing for smallies.

Yes, I mainly use 6lb on my rods. Do have a set-up with 8lb. Was wondering if the 6lb line drops much slower in deeper water with the same weight jig you are using in 20' of water.........

While finishing up a job at a supermarket I checked out their potted plants. Bought 2 Cubanos and 2 sweet 100's. 1 per container. They are a good size. Never seen Cubanos for sale before so I took the plunge. Meanwhile I got out of work early and the wife, pup and I drove to a long-time greenhouse grower near us. Bought a flat (4 plants) of sweet banana peppers, basial, Roma and 2 summer squash. <<<<< wife's. Plus, a good size Lavender plant. We bought some plants off her last year and boy did they produce. Fingers crossed...........

No, just invasive small mouth by the 1,000s and small mostly. 4-8". I fished a rockpile in front of my place one day with my son using live bait. We had 94 in a 5 gal bucket.

Indiana / A trip worth considering... Port Clinton Head Boat...

I was fortunate to head over to Chagrin Falls, Ohio for a 3 day men's conference on 2 Timothy and evangelism at Parkside church with Alistair Begg.  That event was very insightful.  I have had the pleasure of attending this conference called Basics the past 2 years and also trailed my boat over that way so I could take advantage of being that close to Lake Erie and fish on my way home.  This year, I decided to not take the boat as the weather was iffy and I signed up for an excursion with Fisherman's Wharf walleye guiding service out of Port Clinton.  I had seen these "head" boats in the past and they seemed like they would be fun.  I decided to go out from 7-2 but they also offer an excursion in the afternoon/evening.  So, I got to the Fisherman's Wharf tackle store, adjacent to the water in Port Clinton about 6:15.  I paid $75 for the time to go out from 7-2.  I brought me own equipment but if you wanted to, you could use their rods/reels.  We left the dock at 7 am sharp and motored out about 40 minutes.  We had a great breeze to drift with and the attitude of the crew was outstanding.  Tyler was our captain and Randy was the first mate and they did everything ou could imagine to put you on catching fish.  There were 17 fisherman and a crew of 2.  The $75 included all the night crawlers you could use and you could also use their rods/reels if so desired.
After a 40 minute boat ride out to the fishing grounds, we fished solid, as we drifted until 1:30.  There were 17 fisherman and 80 keeper walleyes were caught with the largest being just under 27".  We also caught several short fish and 3 large gallon buckets full of white perch.
So, again, for $75... you get bait, a safe, fun ride and a great crew that is very familiar with your goal for the day... Relax and fish...The fish were caught by either throwing weapon rigs with 3/4 oz in line egg sinker or with a large jig, bouncing the bottom.
I hope you all can get over there and I am confident you will not find a better place than Port Clinton Fisheries.

Technically illegal to catch/target them and I thought you weren't even supposed to photography them.  I've seen one caught soaking blood worms for stripers but it was like 30" long.  We released it asap but snapped a pic too.
