Next year's crop of fish seems pretty solid too. I have caught a lot of 14" fish.

Go out to 40 plus feet  and you can catch the next several years class. I mark tons  and jig but only catching shorts but shorts of all sizes every cast. Have to leave since don't like pulling them up from the deep

 From what I seen from last fall to this spring , there maybe another surge of adults eyes in the lake ,

I haven't been deeper than 30' yet. Still plenty of shorts in 15' - 30' for me. It’s great practice and action for the kids though!
