Splashed The Boat This Morning
« on: May 11, 2019, 08:38 AM »
First canal trip of the year. Every thing worked just fine. (Except my dead depth finder)
Caught a bit of everything. Bass, pike, sunnies, gills, perch and a bonus channel cat.

Hit an ice jig with a redworm. Took a few minutes on 4 lb test.

All in all a fun little outing.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Awesome Bob!

What’s wrong with the finder?

Won't turn on at all. I've done all the troubleshooting already. Full power to the unit. Even took it apart and cleaned the contact points on the board. It's toast I'm afraid. I'm going to pick up another on Thursday. My Bride and I are taking a field trip to Bass Pro.

I'm settled on the Lowrance Hook2 4x. Good size for my boat. Don't need anything but sonar really for the waters I fish.

No fuse or fusible link on the board?

Good luck.

Foolish boy!

Yeah, I've been through the whole circuit. All good to the mount. It's fried. For a hundred bucks, I'm gonna replace it with better technology.

I appreciate that Mac. I'll pick up a new one this week. Been a long time since I bought anything for the boat. I'm due ;)

Hit the canal is morning for a few hours. Caught half a dozen really nice perch.....trolling for walleye. Nary an eye to be had. Also caught a few good smallmouth, a pike around 25", a couple largemouth and a couple crappie.

Fun morning.
