NW Ontario netting news
« on: Sep 15, 2004, 01:36 PM »
Here's some good news that our efforts are having the desired effect.

I just hope this is not an attempt by the media to blow smoke up our arses. I am still getting reports of derelict unmarked nets and need PICTURES!

In any event if this is for real, kudos to the LOTW native community putting conservation to the forefront and thinking about preserving this fishery for generations to come.

Gord has there  been any current survey done to determine what volume of fish can actually be harvested on lake of the woods. Now we must also take into account the volume that is also being harvested by the recreational angler. I would love to see this.  Gord as I ahve stated to you before you have done a great job in your research. I am still reviewing the other issues related to this post. I will keep you informed as we go along. Everyone I want to be fact based before I document anything for all to see.
