The hatchery released their fish last week. The bad news was there were only half as many fish as usual. The good news was that they were gorgeous, not a white mark on them. It reinforces what I have always said, they should close the opening when they have enough fish and let them spawn in the brook or river. When they are not crowded they don't damage themselves. They can stagger the opening to get fish that spawn at different times. Not sure what that means about how long they will stay, especially in the high water, but they were healthy fish.
