Sweet carp and trout. That open water sure looks good. Still too much ice here where I am. Just got back from a few hours on the ice and I measured about 15 inches. $:-\$

u think you got alot of ice, we still got over 3 feet here but the river finally opened up and the carp are starting to move back to the dam

well bart our ice isn't gone yet either but Seneca lake never freezes..... Our ice isnt' that thick though and will be going soon I hope.. I got the trout on a minnow and the carp on a small piece of slim Jim lol we had several bites but couldn't get it hooked up

it was fun, I was using a md-hv action rod with 10 lb firline with 12 lb seaguar leader for both fish. I love the fight. I fought a carp a few years ago with a lite action rod 4 lb test and it was a 13 lb 31 incher!!!!! and my biggest ever was caught on 8 lb flourocarbon that was frayed.. it was 38.5 inches and 31 lbs 27 inch girth!! I love a big battle
